In 2009 the Diversified UK and European (DUKE) joint venture was formed between Valad and Lloyds Banking Group (formerly Bank of Scotland).  DUKE is a 50:50 arrangement with both Valad and Lloyds having contributed assets and associated liabilities to the joint venture.    

Valad provides asset management and other property services to the joint venture and the majority of Valad’s UK and European assets now reside within DUKE.

Valad retains 100% ownership of its European funds management platform (Valad Europe) which is held separately from the DUKE joint venture.
