Project Overview
The Project involves the construction of 34 high quality apartments in Sydney’s upper North Shore suburb of Pymble. The development will comprise a combination of one, two and three bedroom units, including two penthouses. The development will be spread over five levels and include 58 basement car parks. The apartments will target owner occupiers including local “empty nesters” and retirees looking to downsize from larger homes in Pymble and surrounding suburbs, as well as young professionals utilising the transport links to Sydney CBD.
Project Strategy
Upon acquisition of the site, development approval had already been granted with construction commenced in early 2008. The strategy for the project was to sell the apartments over the term of construction and post construction, and realise value through the residential market.
The Partner – Glenside Group
Glenside is a Sydney based development company owned by David Hawes, a well-known local developer with 27 years experience in residential development. His property development expertise, including project and development management services experience, was gained through an associated company, D. R. Hawes and Associates.
Glenside is currently undertaking several similar sized developments including commercial strata offices in Belrose and a showroom/warehouse conversion in Alexandria. David has extensive residential experience, completing apartment projects in Neutral Bay, Manly, Cremorne, Canterbury, Stanmore and Surry Hills.
