Valad’s people have achieved outstanding results this year. During a period of strong growth our team has remained focused on performance and quality. We thank them for their absolute dedication to the business.

Through a Climate Survey conducted during the year, our employees continued to tell us that our culture and values are seen as strong and positive and that our working environment is supportive and open to ideas.

Some highlights from this year include:

  • Creating a Human Resources function tasked with developing a people strategy to support our business objectives
  • Implementing a performance management system, aligning our business goals with individual accountabilities
  • Implementing a remuneration framework for our leadership teams and developing one for the levels below
  • Introducing 12 weeks paid parental leave 
  • Implementing a talent retention program

Our strategy for the next year is centred on leadership development, succession and talent management. We want to build on the work we have done this year around performance and clearly outline the links to incentives for all of our employees. As we continue to grow we will ensure that the cultural attributes that have made us successful will be retained and enhanced.
