    Chief Executive Officer

    Nic Lyons was appointed CEO of Valad Property Group in September 2011.  Before joining Valad Nic held the role of CEO of the GPT Group until late 2008, prior to which he was CEO Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Asia Pacific.  Nic has more than 30 years experience in the property and funds management industries in Australia and overseas, having held senior executive positions with Lend Lease, GPT,  Armstrong Jones/ING and Guardian Funds Management. Nc holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia and a Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and was a former President of the Property Council of Australia – the leading advocate for Australia’s property industry. Nic oversees the management of Valad’s Australian and New Zealand property assets.

    Jennifer Lambert

    Group Chief Financial Officer

    Jennifer joined Valad in early 2003 as Chief Financial Officer after preparing the Investigating Accountants report for VPG's IPO. With Valad’s international expansion, Jennifer is now Group Chief Financial Officer, responsible for operational and strategic finance, accounting and tax. Jennifer was previously a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working in Transaction Services specialising in the property sector and working on capital raisings, structuring and due diligence on acquisitions. Before this role, Jennifer worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Audit and Business Advisory Services division where she was involved with a number of major Australian listed companies.

    Head of Real Estate

    Mark has been the Head of Real Estate Investments Capital Transactions for the Asia Pacific region since February 2006 after starting with Valad in mid 2005. Mark oversees all acquisitions and disposals for the region and has led many of Valad's investment acquisitions including the off-market acquisition of the Carter Holt Harvey portfolio. His 17 years of property experience includes senior roles at Bank Minster and Colliers which exposed him to transactions with private, corporate, institutional and government groups across a broad spectrum of asset classes including development sites, hotels, commercial, industrial and residential assets. Mark has a Degree in Property from University of South Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

    Giles Stapleton

    Head of Real Estate Investment Management

    Giles has been Fund Manager of V Plus, Valad’s Australian wholesale value-add fund, since its inception in March 2006 and was appointed Head of Real Estate Investment Management in May 2009. Prior to Valad, Giles held the role of Director of James Fielding Direct (part of the Mirvac Group since 2004) responsible for an A$300 million portfolio of unlisted property funds.  Giles’ previous roles have included Senior Relationship Manager – Property Finance at Westpac Bank and Business Development Manager – Private Equity at the Australian Stock Exchange.  Before migrating to Australia in 1997, Giles acted as a Legal Counsel at UBS Asset Management in London.  Giles is a UK qualified Barrister and Company Secretary and a Solicitor admitted in the Supreme Court of NSW.
