Jeff Locke
Chief Executive Officer - Asia Pacific
Jeff joined Valad in June 2007 and as Chief Executive Officer, has full executive responsibility for leading the Group’s Australian and Asian operations. With previous leadership roles at Bankers Trust and Macquarie Bank over the past decade, Jeff has experience across property, financial, and corporate advisory markets. Starting his corporate career as a chartered accountant in 1985 at Price Waterhouse, Jeff's experience also includes being founding director of Pacific Capital Group, a corporate and project finance advisory firm. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts (in Accounting) from The University of Canberra.

Nicki Garrett
Group Head of Funds Management
Nicki is Valad’s Group Head of Funds Management having led the Asia Pacific funds business since she began in mid 2006. Nicki is responsible for the fund product development, distribution and marketing as well as overseeing each fund’s continued progress. Over the past 10 years, Nicki has experience in domestic and global investment banking and equity capital markets. Nicki has a track record of successful capital raisings and mergers and acquisitions transactions in Sydney, London and Asia. Prior to joining Valad, Nicki had positions with Macquarie Bank, ABN AMRO and Patersons Securities Limited. Nicki has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) from the University of Auckland.

Tim Ambler
Chief Operating Officer - Real Estate Development – Asia Pacific
Tim joined Valad in mid 2006 and now oversees all phases of the development process across Valad’s development portfolio within the Asia Pacific region. Tim’s 20 years of experience in the construction and development arenas spans all industry sectors from health care to industrial developments and has enabled him to participate in many significant development projects across Australia. Prior to working with Valad, Tim was the General Manager of Southern Region for Walter Construction Group (formerly Concrete Constructions). In that role Tim was responsible for all southern states construction activities as well as the company’s investments. Tim holds as Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and Building Certificate from Sydney Tech (now known as UTS).

Kurt Wilkinson
Chief Operating Officer – Real Estate Investment – Asia Pacific
Kurt was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Real Estate Investments in June 2007, having played a major role in the division since he joined Valad in late 2004. Kurt has been instrumental in many of Valad’s key property deals including the acquisition, value-adding and sell down phases of Gold Fields House as well as playing an integral part in Valad’s entry into Japan. Prior to joining Valad, Kurt worked in real estate corporate advisory within Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and then established a boutique advisory company with two colleagues. Kurt has a Bachelor of Business (Land Economy) from the University of Western Sydney.

Mark Frinsdorf
Head of Real Estate Investment - Capital Transactions - Asia Pacific
Mark has been the Head of Real Estate Investments Capital Transactions for the Asia Pacific region since February 2006 after starting with Valad in mid 2005. Mark oversees all acquisitions and disposals for the region and has led many of Valad's investment acquisitions including the off-market acquisition of the Carter Holt Harvey portfolio. His 17 years of property experience includes senior roles at Bank Minster and Colliers which exposed him to transactions with private, corporate, institutional and government groups across a broad spectrum of asset classes including development sites, hotels, commercial, industrial and residential assets. Mark has a Degree in Property from University of South Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Mark Rossi
Chief Financial Officer - Asia Pacific
Mark was appointed Chief Financial Officer - Asia Pacific following the Group’s expansion into Europe. Mark joined Valad in July 2004, as part of the ICA acquisition, where he had been the CFO since July 2003. At Valad, Mark is responsible for operational and strategic finance, accounting and tax for the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Valad/ICA he spent nine years at Westfield gaining exposure to property via Financial Controller roles, asset analyst and property accounting roles. Mark is a Chartered Accountant, having spent 10 years in the profession prior to Westfield, gaining experience in business services, audit, tax, accounting and insolvency. Mark has a Bachelor of Business from University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA.

Natalie Devlin
Head of People and Development - Asia Pacific
Natalie joined Valad in 2006 as Head of People and Development, ensuring the right people, structure, systems and culture are available to achieve Valad’s business objectives. Natalie brings to Valad a wealth of experience regarding organisational design, development and best practice people management. Prior to joining Valad, Natalie held the position of Regional HR Manager for Wolters Kluwer Asia Pacific, a business information company with over 600 employees. This role included significant change management, integration of acquisition businesses and the establishment of a shared services centre in Malaysia. Natalie has also held the position of HR Project Officer for the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning in Sydney. Natalie has a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Law and Organisational Psychology and a Diploma of Human Resources Management.

Jeremy Stevenson
Senior Legal Counsel - Asia Pacific
Jeremy joined Valad in mid 2006 and his role involves directly advising the funds management division and leading the team of lawyers supporting the other business units within the region. He has over 10 years of experience in corporate and commercial legal practice, with a particular focus on joint ventures, investment management law and the establishment of domestic and international investment funds. Prior to his role at Valad, Jeremy worked in both Australia and the United Kingdom for Clifford Chance LLP, one of the world’s premier law firms. Jeremy has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Adelaide. He has completed post-graduate studies in legal practice and finance.

Gareth Price
General Manager Valad Capital Services - Asia Pacific
Gareth is the General Manager of Valad’s Asia Pacific Capital Services division and was the first employee of this business in beginning of 2006 after it was established in late 2005. He is responsible for client relations, origination and transaction execution. Gareth started as an applied economist and has 15 years professional experience including five years in the property investment banking industry. Before joining Valad, Gareth was with Gresham Property Group based in Sydney, which followed five years with Ernst & Young in London. Gareth has an Economics Degree (Honours) from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Econometrics (Distinction) from the University of New England, NSW.

Wendy Boxall
Head of Valad Equity Partners - Asia Pacific
Wendy was appointed the Head of Valad Equity Partners after being a Fund Manager with Valad since early 2007. She leads the product development team which is responsible for the establishment of new funds including structuring and marketing for the Asia Pacific region. Wendy is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of experience in accounting and finance. Proir to Valad, she worked at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Auckland following which she spent several years in London with Close Brothers Corporate Finance, a leading independent UK investment bank. On returning from the UK, Wendy spent three years with Patersons Securities where she worked on a number of capital raising transactions with a particular focus on the property sector. Wendy has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and a Master of Commerce (with Distinction) from the University of Auckland.
